Does the Internet have a beneficial effect on society?
I am of the opinion that the Internet has a beneficial effect on society.
Aside from the fact that the Internet has enabled us to communicate so easily, it improved the quality of education we received. Also, it has enhanced our lifestyle and the quality of our lives has improved.
First, the Internet has drastically changed our communication methods in the last few decades. Now we can reach anybody anytime for free no matter where we are not only by email or text but also on video-based tools. Compared to the time when we had to make a phone call or even write letters to communicate. We can communicate with the ones we love so easily, which certainly has improved the quality of our lives.
Second, thanks to the Internet, we have easy access to enormous information, which means it improves the quality of education and broadens our knowledge. It is said that the amount of information we gain every day is as much as people in the Edo period gained a year. As long as we learn to select the correct information on the Internet gives useful information and enhances the quality of education.
Last, the Internet has improved the quality of our lives. We now can do almost everything on the Internet, which gives us a lot of free time to do something else. For example, we can do grocery shopping online, so we can spend the time that we would waste at the grocery store on something more productive such as on the quality time with our family. Some people argue that the Internet has a negative impact on society. However, if we are smart enough to use it wisely, the Internet has a beneficial effect on society.
