There are two reasons for the decline in the physical strength of Japanese children.
The first reason is that they don't play with friends outside. Due to the decline in childbirth in Japan, children don't have as many friends to play with as before. Therefore, they tend to play alone inside the house.

Japanese people used to eat more nutritious food decades ago but we now eat something we can get easily and quickly, which does not provide as much nutrition. This may be due to the fact that more mothers have full-time jobs and don’t have time to prepare elaborate dishes.

問題に「日本の子どもの体力低下の理由を２つ述べなさい」とあるから、最初の文は要るかな？と疑問に思いつつ、通常のエッセイの書き方としてやはり序論は欲しいから書くことにしました。模範解答にも同じような文を書いてあったから、書いてて正解だったみたいです。

理由①：The first reason is that they don't play with friends outside.
